Component and accessory operations

Know what each number is telling you

A useful component-shop dashboard connects the commercial picture with what is happening to work orders. It also makes the measurement period, source and limitations clear.

Revenue against goal

Compare revenue for the selected period with the matching department goal. Agree the source event first: quoted value, shipped value and invoiced revenue are different measures and should not share an unlabeled total.

Pace to month-end

Show the projection method next to the result. A simple pace projection divides revenue to date by elapsed days and multiplies by total days. Use a consistent calendar or working-day basis. This is an extrapolation, not a forecast of orders that will definitely ship.

Units and work in progress

Keep shipped units separate from units currently in the shop. Split the work-in-progress view by phase so waiting parts, inspection and active work do not collapse into one unexplained queue.

Technician hours in context

Compare like work: part number, work scope and phase. Distinguish hands-on time from elapsed lead time, and avoid treating revenue per technician as a standalone judgment of employee performance.

Sources and freshness

For a production implementation, confirm the source fields and refresh cadence for each measure. The current sample environment uses fictional data; it is not evidence of a live connection to your shop.
